Wilson College Placements
The Training and Placement Committee at Wilson College assists with campus placement and sees to it that the hiring procedure runs properly. In order to assist students in making selections about their careers, it also offers career counselling sessions to them. Students participate in a variety of training programs that aid in the development of job-specific abilities like communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, pressure tolerance, analytical skills, IT skills, and many more that are highly desired by recruiters of every possible employee. The Training and Placement Committee assists students in developing their soft skills, which will ultimately aid in their entire personality development, in addition to improving their technical knowledge. The following is a list of some of the Training and Placement Committee's activities:
The Wilson College placement process entails registering for the drive, shortlisting candidates who meet the pre-hiring requirements stated by the companies, pre-placement talks that allow students to learn about the company and interact with employers, and written tests to assess verbal ability, logical aptitude, reasoning, and technical knowledge. Candidates who advance to the next phase after passing the written test participate in a group discussion to express their opinions and share their points of view. The personal interview is the last stage, and those who advance are given job offers, realising their ambition of working for the organisation they desired.
The following describes the placement procedure at Wilson College:
STEP 1
Candidates interested in participating in the placement drive are encouraged to register with the Training and Placement Committee for the recruiting campaign.
STEP 2
Shortlisting of registered candidates who meet the pre-hiring demand: Candidates are shortlisted based on the academic requirements as stipulated by the companies, also referred to as the pre-hiring demands, such as the minimum percentage, etc. Candidates who have been shortlisted may participate in the recruiters' pre-placement chat.
STEP 3
Pre-placement Presentation: Companies that come to Wilson College to conduct placement drives provide a pre-placement talk to the students to inform them of the fundamental policies followed by the company and to provide them with an overview of the business. During the pre-placement chat, recruiters and students converse with one another in a two-way fashion.
STEP 4
Various screening tests are administered by recruiters after the pre-placement chat in order to evaluate the potential students' aptitude for math, logic, English proficiency, domain knowledge, and suitability for particular skill sets. These exams can be performed online or offline. Candidates who pass the test continue on to the placement phase.
STEP 5
Group Discussion: After passing the exam, Loknayak Wilson College students will be required to take part in a group discussion on any topic, including social, political, and business-related issues. In order to demonstrate their oratory talents and express their opinions and thoughts, candidates must do so in front of the interviewers.
STEP 6
Interview: Candidates have to qualify for the interview taken by the companies. Interviews are conducted to assess a potential candidate's personality, including technical interviews, HR interviews, and others.
