The final week of December will mark the beginning of registration for UG courses beginning in January 2023. The anticipated closing date for IGNOU UG Admission 2023–24 for the various specialities is January 31, 2023. For the academic year 2023, IGNOU offers a variety of UG programmes to students. In order to assist the process of finding meaningful work for its diverse and dispersed student population available across the nation, the IGNOU Campus Placement Cell (CPC) was created in the year 2005 at the organization's headquarters. One of the key goals of the cell is to offer students and graduates at all levels meaningful career options that fit with their personal and academic characteristics. In fact, CPC is based on the idea that the right recruiter and candidate come together at the right time.

Companies now seek applicants who can start working as soon as feasible and are prepared for the position. The CPC makes the university's infrastructure and resources available to the visiting companies to ensure logistic support throughout the placement process. As a result, the CPC serves as a conduit between the business world and students and graduates. CPC also has a goal to strengthen the university's alumni association so that the creative alumni and their affiliated businesses can be discovered for aiding the students in finding the right placement.

Throughout the year at the Headquarters, Regional Centers, Study Centers, and Company sites, the CPC organises a variety of Campus Placement Drives, Recruitment Drives, Job Fairs, and employability enhancement programmes.

Additionally, CPC intends to introduce fresh efforts like creating soft skill modules for the students in order to broaden its activity base even further. Through this activity, CPC will be able to provide students and alumni better placement chances.

A Training and Placement Portal is nearing completion and will probably go live soon. The Samarth Platform, which is backed by the Ministry of Education, will host the Portal. This portal will make it easier to register students, alumni, and employers, as well as to post job openings and coordinate placement campaigns, among other things.
