Overview

As Rajasthan's first institution of open learning, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, formerly known as Kota Open University, was established in 1987. Under the leadership of the late Prof. G. Rama Reddy, the UGC committee remarked that "the distance system in Rajasthan is created appropriately and can change into a full-fledged Open University." The Institute of Correspondence Studies and Continuing Education in Jaipur and the (College of Correspondence Studies) in Udaipur combined to form the VMOU Kota. The VMOU outcome has significantly improved with time. Since its beginnings, the open learning institution has been committed to providing the state's residents with standardised, superior open learning experiences.

The application for VMOU's B.Ed programme is available online. The VMOU B.Ed counselling process has begun. The VMOU's B.Ed. admissions counselling will start on September 20 and 21, 2022. Results of the PhD entrance exam have been released by VMOU. The closing date has been extended till September 29, 2022 for VMOU admissions and for Promotee/Second/Third Year Admission (not Lateral Entry Programmes).

They also provide certificate, lateral entry, diploma, and postgraduate diploma programmes. 22 departments, 7 regional centres, and 5 schools offer distance learning at VMOU. The VMOU result for 2022 is also anticipated to be excellent.

Placement at VMOU

The Vardhman Mahaveer Open University Training and Placement Cell (T and P Cell), which describes the roles and pursuits that support the developing cooperation between academia and business, is in charge of the Vardhman Mahaveer Open University Placements. The institution is a logical choice for the greatest and biggest organisations due to its outstanding reputation for online education quality.

You can look for work as a digital copywriter, editorial assistant, English teacher, lexicographer, publishing copy-editor, proofreader, journalist, and other relevant roles after finishing the VMOU courses. However, as the university exclusively specialises in online education, no businesses visit the campus to recruit students.

The placement section at Vardhman Mahaveer Open University promotes and works to create a link between academia and business. To give career guidance, the cell arranges guest lectures, seminars, and in-person meetings. The cell is also making every effort to assist students in developing their soft skills, such as communication, and is working hard to attract more firms and get numerous campus placements.
