Admissions

Admission to Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2022 will be based on both merit and entrance exams. Candidates for the institute's BTech programme will be accepted based on their JEE Main 2022 results. There will be two sessions for the exams this year, from June 20–29 and July 21–30. In addition to taking the JEE Main 2022 exam, interested applicants must also submit an online admissions application. The majority of UG admissions, including to the BA, BSc, and BBA degrees, are entrance-based. The deadline to submit an application for all UG courses at Thapar University is June 15, 2022. The BE/BTech application deadline has been extended till July 11.
GATE, NET, GPAT, CMAT, and NMAT scores are used to determine admission to graduate programmes at Thapar University, including MTech, PhD, and MBA. The selection method for the MA, MCA, and MSc programmes in TIET is merit-based. Late applicants may now reapply for the MBA programme at Thapar University. The new application submission date is June 28. Applications for the MTech, MA, MSc, MCA, and PhD are accepted until June 30.

Cut-off

The deadline to register for the MBA programme at Thapar University or Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is January 30, 2022. After the selection of candidates is made public in February, they will then be contacted for an interview phase. The new school year will begin in July 2022.
