In 1961, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering and Technology in Surat, Gujarat, became the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVREC). The SVREC was renamed the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology on December 4, 2002, after the University Grants Commission (UGC) recognised it as a deemed university. Civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering were the only three technical specialisations offered in the college curriculum at first. The institute currently provides a PhD program, three master's degrees, nineteen graduate degrees, and six undergraduate programs. According to the NIRF rankings for 2022, SVNIT Surat is ranked 58th in the engineering category and 101-150 overall.
One of the 31 national technology institutes in India is SVNIT. The institute has been designated as a "Institute of National Importance" since August 15, 2007. The 250-acre SVNIT campus is divided into several departments for each topic. The SVNIT Surat campus is well-known throughout the world as a prestigious auto and engineering institution. It is also regarded as a premier centre for technical education.
Course & Fees
Six undergraduate and 18 postgraduate courses are available through SVNIT Surat, and they are both supervised by ten different departments. Six B.Tech, three M.Sc, and fifteen M.Tech programs are available at the institute. PhD
A three- to eight-year full-time PhD program is available from SVNIT. The cost of a PhD program at SVNIT is Rs 40,000 annually.

Admissions
The results of round two of JoSAA counselling 2022 seat allocation have been released. Candidates can view the JoSAA round one seat allocation results on the JoSAA official website for SVNIT Surat admissions in 2022. By October 1, 2022, candidates can submit their paperwork and make payment to confirm their seat assignments from JoSAA round two seat allocation 2022. GATE scores are accepted by the university for M.Tech admission. Registration for GATE 2023 has started. September 30, 2022, is the deadline for submitting an application for GATE 2023. On January 3, 2022, candidates can access their GATE 2023 admissions documents.
The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology in Surat offers admission to a number of graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in management, engineering, and the humanities as well as science and the humanities. Round 2 of the JoSAA 2022 mock seat allocation has been made public on josaa.nic.in. Students can learn their odds of getting into their dream college by using the JoSAA mock seat allotment.
The entire process of admitting students to various departments is covered under the SVNIT Surat admission process. Candidates must complete the application form and pass the selection procedure in order to be considered for admission to any of the offered branches. To be eligible for the college's B.Tech and M.Sc programs, candidates must take the JEE Main entrance test.
Candidates who choose to apply for SVNIT M.Tech admissions must have a current GATE score card. The admissions and selection procedure for SVNIT Surat is described in full below. A unique program for direct admission of non-resident Indians is provided by SVNIT Surat through direct admission for students abroad (DASA). The Indian government will provide overseas students the SVNIT scholarship. Cut-off
JoSAA has revealed the SVNIT Surat cutoff 2022 round 3, round 2, and round 1 cutoff results. Candidates may be admitted to SVNIT Surat's B.Tech. and Integrated M.Sc. programs based on their JEE Main 2022 performance. There were two sessions for JEE Main 2022: session 1 and session 2. On September 1, 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published the JEE Main 2022 session two results. In order to be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the SVNIT Surat cutoff 2022.

Over the years, the college placements have been fairly successful. The institute recently issued SVNIT Surat placement data 2022 after wrapping up its placements for the calendar year 2022. 850 students were placed in reputable companies, according to the SVNIT Surat placement report for 2022.
Additionally, a maximum of 41% of students were put in the IT industry. In 2022 placements, the highest salaries offered by SVNIT Surat were Rs. 44 LPA for B.Tech. students and Rs. 49.96 LPA for M.Tech. students. During the SVNIT Surat postings in 2022, the M.Sc. received the maximum compensation of Rs. 16 LPA. Some of the major employers at SVNIT Surat were Amazon, Infosys, Samsung, Mercedes, and others.
