One of the best national institutes of technology in the nation is the National Institute of Technology in Uttarakhand. The Ministry of Human Resource Development gave the institute, also known as NITUK, permission to open in 2009 in accordance with the Parliament Act. Currently, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering are all offered as B.Tech. and M.Tech. programmes at NIT Uttarakhand. The temporary campus of NIT Uttarakhand is situated near Government Polytechnic in Srinagar's Pauri Garhwal neighbourhood. It has a connection to National Highway 58, which runs from Badrinath to Srinagar Garhwal. The closest airport and train station to NITUK are Jolly Grant Airport in Haridwar and Rishikesh, respectively. The Science and Humanities department, Library, Classrooms, Server Room, Dispensary, Playground, Hostels, and Auditorium are all located on the NIT Uttarakhand campus. There is currently one cricket field and three new buildings on the NITUK temporary campus. Construction of new departmental libraries with cutting-edge amenities has been planned. The NITUK campus is spread around 14,000 square metres (approximately 1,50,000 sq. feet).
The M.Tech students are chosen through the CCMT method at NIT Uttarakhand, whereas the B.Tech students are chosen through JEE Main and Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA). For the students' overall growth, NIT Uttarakhand places a lot of emphasis on extracurricular activities. Numerous extracurricular activities and well-known clubs, including Verbatim—the Speaker's Club, Klick—the Photography Club, Movie Club, Rocktave—the Music Club, and many others—are offered at NITUK. Admissions
Undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programmes are all available at NIT Uttarakhand in a number of science and technology-related subjects. Process for B.Tech. Selection/Counselling at NIT Uttarakhand in 2022
The JEE Main score and the candidate's class XII score will be combined by JOSAA to create an All India Rank. Candidates must apply online through JoSAA's centralised admission process in order to be considered for B.Tech admissions at NITUK. When calculating the All India rank for B.Tech admissions, JoSAA would assign the candidate's JEE Main score 60% weightage and the class XII score 40% weightage. The final acceptance process will be based on JOSAA counselling.
Uttarakhand NIT 2022 M.Tech Eligibility Requirements
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the relevant stream is required for admission to NIT Uttarakhand's M.Tech programmes. Candidates must be eligible and have a passing score on the GATE qualifying exam, which will be conducted by Central Counseling in accordance with Ministry of Human Resource Development regulations (MHRD). Candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST) will receive a 5% score reduction in the qualifying exam. Only applicants with a valid GATE score may submit an application for admission to the M.Tech programme at NIT Uttarakhand.
Application Process for M.Tech. at NIT Uttarakhand in 2022
Candidates must go to NIT Uttrakhand's official website in order to fill out the application.
