Institute of Fashion Technology National Fashion Curriculum Design

A design sensibility that creates a balance between Indian soul and global fashion aesthetics is fostered by the curriculum. It meets the demands of the couture and prêt-à-porter industries as well as the Indian export market.

Design in Leather

It is important to emphasise how design ideas and material knowledge work together. Through a multidisciplinary approach and exposure to the industry through field trips, tannery training, Craft Cluster programmes, industrial internships, and graduation projects, students study and develop materials, techniques, forms, and components.

Accessory Design

Accessories are items worn personally that serve a purpose and have an aesthetic connection to the wearer and their environment. The NIFT Patna course includes exploration, ingestion, and play with thoughts, ideas, and materials in order to give a platform for fresh perspectives and potent individual expression.

The methodologies employed in the programmes include lectures, projects (studio, live, and collaborative), group work, conventional and modern field trips, self-study, presentations, and reflections. Students are taught how to use both current technology tools and traditional artisan procedures.

Creating textiles

The program's foundation is the fusion of design creativity and textile technology, while also taking into account the historical, social, and cultural contexts in which the designers currently operate. Explore digital and non-traditional methods to design, fabric structures, and surfaces with a focus on mastering specialised software. Through this programme, students are also exposed to a creative environment.

Knitting Designs

The goal of the curriculum is to create well-rounded professionals who can handle problems related to circular and flat-bed knitting in both home and foreign markets. There are several alternatives, including designers, creative managers, merchandisers, production managers, and entrepreneurs. Students studying knitwear design are exposed to a variety of settings.

Communication In Fashion

Numerous new prêt and luxury businesses are emerging in the Indian retail environment, and it is essential for each of them to have a unique brand identity in order to have the most effect and visibility. Fashion Communication has made it possible for these businesses to do this by providing a platform for them to communicate their goods, identities, and strategies.

Fashion Technology Bachelor's Degree

(Apparel Production)The NIFT course curriculum strives to introduce a number of important streams, such as information technology, quality management, artificial intelligence, and others, while keeping in mind the distinct kinds of challenges faced by the organisation. Students learn the fundamentals of management as well as the principles of aesthetics and design in this course.

National Institute of Fashion Technology scholarships

A key component of the institute's financial strategy is student development. The NIFT Development Fund contributes a considerable sum of money each year to this essential area. Students from low-income households can take advantage of reduced tuition at all NIFT campuses thanks to the institute's Means-cum-Merit Financial Assistance programme. Depending on the income of their parents, students may be assigned to one of three financial aid slabs.

Many kids have benefited from this programme in the past. Additionally, a large number of well-known clothing firms have come forward to aid NIFT students in their academic and artistic aspirations. To acknowledge and reward academic excellence, pioneers in the field like ITC and HomeShop 18 have established awards and scholarships. This provides inspiration.
