Admission 2023 Manipur Institute of Technology B.E.

115 students are accepted each year into the institute's B.Tech degree based on their JEE Main entrance exam results. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to the B.Tech program based on their performance in the JEE entrance exam. Candidates who want to get admitted to the B.Tech program must pass the JEE Entrance Exam and achieve the minimum requirements stipulated for the program. Manipur Institute of Technology's 2023 eligibility requirements for the B.E.

Candidates must have passed the Council of Higher Secondary Education of Manipur's higher secondary examination, or any other exam recognised by Manipur University or its equivalent, with at least 45% (or 40% in the case of SC/ST candidates) of cumulative marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry in a single sitting without any grace marks.

Candidates for Lateral Entry into the Third Semester must have completed a Diploma Course in Engineering offered by Manipur University or any Technical Education Board authorised by Manipur University in the First Division or in an equivalent degree with marks of at least 60% overall where the Division is not awarded in the respective stream.

B.E. application form for the Manipur Institute of Technology for 2023

For admissions in 2020, candidates must finish the institute's application process. The candidates' initial step is to sign up on the official website of the Manipur Institute of Technology. The candidates must also attach a number of papers, including proofs of their identity, transcripts from their previous coursework, a photo, and their signature, among other things, when completing the application form. The candidate must click "Submit" to submit the application form after completing it completely.

1. The application fee is Rs. 500 for the Unreserved Category and Rs. 300 for the Reserved Category. Both fees must be paid in cash or by demand draught.
2. The Demand Draft has to be made payable to Imphal in the name of the Principal of Manipal Institute of Technology, Takyeipat.

Process for B.E. Selection at Manipur Institute of Technology in 2023

The Central Board of Secondary Education's Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Main scores will be used to determine a candidate's admission to the B.E. program (CBSE). The Institute will choose the cut-off score or rank for JEE-Main for admission to the B.E. program. Candidates' JEE scores will be used to fill open seats in the B.E. program (Mains). Additionally, the institute will hold an admission test to fill any open seats left over after JEE (Main) aspirants drop out.

For candidates who have completed the engineering diploma program, admission will be based on their merit at the diploma level, which will be determined by a competitive test or personal interview in which a representative from the institute must be present.

Selection and counselling:

According to the Merit List created solely based on the JEE Main score or ranking, candidates would be contacted for counselling. Candidates who have been shortlisted must go for counselling at MIT, Takyelpat, Imphal. Selection will be based on the number of seats available in each branch and according to category. The applicants should have their preferences for admission to several engineering branches ready.

The list of approved applicants for B.E. admission will be posted on the institute notice board and on the Manipur Institute of Technology's official website following the counselling.

The following original documents must be shown when receiving counselling:

• Mark sheet for the prerequisite test
• Age Verification with HSLC Certificate or Admit Card
• Character reference letter from the institution's head, last attended
• The Original Cast/Tribe, PwD, and OBC Certificates issued by the Competent Authority in the case of SC/ST, PwD, and OBC candidates
• Study gap/Study discontinuation a certificate issued by the appropriate authority (Head of recognised Institute where the candidate may be pursuing studies or Officer in charge of nearest Police Station where the candidate resides for not pursuing studies)
• JEE (Main) Grade Report

Seating reservations:

• Candidates who have competed for the state in sports or other extracurricular activities at the national or international level are given a place in each course. For candidates with disabilities, MIT reserves 3% of seats in each course.
• Defense Personnel and Kashmiri Migrants shall each receive a supernumerary seat in each field.

The applicant should have obtained a PCM-recognized Board 10+2 diploma.
