Admissions

The public state institution Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak was founded in 1977. More than 580 institutions and colleges have MDU Rohtak as one of their affiliates. Various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and research level courses are presently offered each year at MDU Rohtak. The university also provides a limited number of integrated, diploma, PG diploma, and certificate programmes in a variety of streams. In addition to traditional classroom instruction, MDU also provides a number of UG and PG courses via online learning (MDU DDE). Both centralised admission and non-centralized admission are aspects of the MDU admissions procedure.

• For centralised admission to M.Sc. and M.Pharm. courses, MDU administers the Common Entrance Exam (MDUCEE).
• Candidates are shortlisted through an entrance exam administered by Kurukshetra University for admission to the M.Com, MBA, and LL.M programmes (KUK).
• The MDUCEE and KUK admission procedures involve a total of 7 universities, and the centralised exam is held each year in June.
• Non-Centralized admission to the LL.B., B.Pharm., and Integrated programmes is based on performance on a university-conducted entrance exam. Every year, the exam is given in June or July.
• Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) counselling is used to determine admission to B.Tech programmes using legitimate JEE Main scores.
• Academic merit is used to determine admission to non-centralized courses including BTTM, BHM, MA, M.Li.Sc., MHM, and MTTM.
• Candidates for the M.Tech. programme are narrowed down based on their GATE scores. Candidates are chosen based on the merit of their qualifying degrees if GATE scores are not available.
  Performance in the Entrance Test administered by MDU is taken into consideration for granting admission to PhD programmes.
  Candidates must use the appropriate official registration portal to submit an application for centralised admission (MDUCEE and KUK).
  Applications and INR 150 should be submitted to the relevant university department for non-centralized admission registration.
