Admissions to Kuvempu University are predominantly merit-based. To offer MBA and MSW admissions, the university, however, administers its own entrance examination.
Kuvempu University currently has four faculties, including the faculty of arts, commerce, education, and science & technology. A total of 20 PG, PhD, and PG diploma courses are offered in full- and part-time formats by all of these faculties. Despite the fact that Kuvempu University is best recognised for its graduate and doctoral programmes. However, it has began providing a full-time Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) programme at the UG level. It is a one-year degree with a 100 student annual seat intake. Additionally, the university is home to the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), which provides UG, PG, and PhD courses in a variety of fields.

Except in certain circumstances, where admission is handled through the entrance test held by Kuvempu University itself, admission to various PG and PhD degrees at Kuvempu University is based on merit. A bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline is the minimum requirement for all postgraduate and postgraduate diploma programmes, whereas candidates for PhD programmes must hold a master's degree from an accredited school. Candidates who meet the requirements can submit an online application for admission through the university's official website or by physically visiting the campus. Admission PG at Kuvempu University 2023
Along with its flagship degree, Kuvempu University also provides a number of other PG programmes, including full-time MA, MBA, MSW, MCom, M.Ed, MPEd, and MCA programmes. These courses are all two years long and are organised according to a semester system. Candidates who are interested in admission are either judged on their performance in the entrance exam or their UG-level academic standing.
Admission 2023 for PG Diploma at Kuvempu University
All PG diploma programmes of Kuvempu University are admitted on the basis of merit, in contrast to most other courses. The university provides a one-year, annual-mode PG diploma programme with four specialisations.
PhD Admission at Kuvempu University in 2023
Full-time PhD programmes are available at Kuvempu University in 31 different specialties. Some PhD specialisations, such as social work, journalism & mass communication, and biotechnology, are also available in a part-time format. The merit of the prior qualifying degree or exam is taken into consideration when shortlisting candidates for each of the PhD specialisations (with the exception of PhD in Commerce). However, in order to be considered for admission, candidates for the PhD in Commerce must also have a valid JRF, NET, SLET, or FIP score in addition to a score from the university's entrance exam.
