Overview

The CUET-UG 2022 exam will serve as the basis for JNU admission in 2022 for the UG (undergraduate) and COP (Certificate of Proficiency) courses. Admission for postgraduate programs and advanced diplomas of proficiency will be based on the results of the CUET-PG test in 2022. The CUET-UG exam has already taken place, and the results will be made public around September 15, 2022.

The dates of the CUET-PG exam are September 1 through September 12, 2022. JNU will accept additional admission exams in addition to the CUET UG and PG, such as GAT-B, JRF, GATE, JNUEE, JEE Main, CAT, JNU CEEB, etc. The deadline to submit an application for the JNU PhD entrance class of 2022 through the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exams is September 23, 2022. In addition, the institution has made available the GAT-B cutoff for the M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Computational Integrative Sciences round 4 competition (Graduate Aptitude Test Biotechnology).

2022 JNU Application Process

Every year in March, when the MBA application form is made available, the Jawaharlal Nehru University admission process officially kicks off. In the university and for various courses, there are numerous selection criteria. For Jawaharlal Nehru University, the entire application procedure is done online. The steps listed below must be followed by applicants in order to finish the JNU application form:

  • Visit the Jawaharlal Nehru University's official admissions website at https://www.jnu.ac.in/admissions.
  • Choose the program and complete the registration form with the necessary information, including your name, address, and educational background.
  • The JNU application form must be uploaded along with the candidate's colour photo and scanned signature. Candidates are urged to retain all necessary documentation on hand, including birth certificates, category certificates, last qualifying degree certificates, etc., to avoid any difficulties during the admissions process.
  • Submit the application form at the end. And use any online payment option, including net banking, credit and debit cards, BHIM UPI, Paytm, etc., to pay the JNU application cost. Candidates are recommended to save the fee receipt as proof of payment for future use. After paying the charge, if a confirmation page is not produced, the transaction is annulled, and the money that was taken out is returned to the candidate's account. Candidates must then conduct transactions one again.
  • The entrance exam will be invited to eligible candidates (Except for MBA). In order to be called for a group discussion and personal interview, MBA applicants must include their CAT score in the JNU application form2022. Based on the candidate's performance in all phases of the screening process, admission is given.
  • JNUEE is a computer-based exam that must be passed in order to be considered for admission. Candidates who pass the test are invited to a viva voce by the JNU admissions committee (the admission committee is different for different courses). Candidates are chosen for JNU admission based on their overall results in the most recent qualifying examination, JNUEE scores, and Viva-voce scores.
  • Only those candidates for Ph.D. who have passed national entrance exams like the UGC/CSIR NET (JRF examination), SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship are exempt from the JNUEE.
  • The selection for admission is made on the basis of performance in the Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) in the relevant languages for admission to the Degree of Proficiency in Bhasha Mongolian, Indonesia, and Hebrew. Merit lists are created for each category, meaning that candidates who fall under the SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and EWS categories are eligible for a mark reduction under Jawaharlal Nehru University's authorised admission policy.
