Admissions for IIT Indore in 2023

The regular registration period for GATE 2023 has ended. The second round of JoSAA seat allocation results have been released. The entrance exam is the primary means of admission to IIT Indore. Candidates who want to study B.Tech must pass the national JEE Mains and JEE Advance exams, whilst those who want to pursue M.Tech must take the GATE test.

2022 IIT Indore Eligibility Requirements

• Students must earn a Class 12 diploma from an accredited board in order to pursue a degree in B.Tech. Math, chemistry, and physics are required, and any of biology, biotechnology, or computer science may be chosen as an elective. Higher secondary certification is also necessary, as well as JEE Main and Advanced marks.

Admissions for B.Tech. at IIT Indore

• JEE Advanced score and rank are prerequisites for admission. JEE Advanced qualified applicants will be contacted for the online counselling session.
• Students must have a senior secondary pass certificate from a recognised university with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) and have taken physics and maths as required subjects.

Admissions to IIT Indore's M. Tech.

• Valid GATE entrance exam score and COAP counselling are the selection criteria.
• Qualifications: Candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree in an engineering-related subject with a minimum cumulative GPA of 60% if they did not attend an IIT and at least 8.5/6.2 for General and SC/ST, respectively.

Admissions for M.Sc. at IIT Indore

• Selection criteria: Candidates for the M.Sc. program are chosen based on their performance in the IIT JAM admission test. The ultimate merit list is generated after considering prior academic records.
• Candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree with at least 60% in a related field from an accredited university. For admission to the IIT Indore M.Sc. program, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or 3.5 for SC/ST).

For PhD admissions at IIT Indore

• Candidates who have been chosen for further consideration must attend the IIT Indore PhD interview. Candidates will receive invitations to a personal interview round for further consideration based on how well they performed on their most recent qualifying examinations and admission exam. The UGC/CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship are the entry exams for PhD admission at IIT Indore. The final merit list is created by combining the results of entrance exams, personal interviews, and grades. The applicant must submit a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) and Statement of Purpose (SOP) prior to the interview.
• Candidates must have acquired a master's degree from a university or institution that has been approved by the UGC, AICTE, or NCTE and have at least a 7 CGPA in each of the requisite disciplines (without rounding off) in order to be accepted for this program.
