Under the sponsorship of Shri P.V. Narsimha Rao, the then-honorable prime minister of India, Assam University was founded in 1994. Premier universities are abundant in India, outnumbering those in many other countries, including some emerging ones. The Assam Central University Act of 1989 allowed for the establishment of the university. The University has been responsible for managing a total of 16 schools of study, 50 departments, 6 multidisciplinary centres of research, and 77 affiliated colleges since its founding.

In its brief history, Assam University has a stunning historical field with a rich heritage. First established in Silchar, the university campus ran out of a circuit house. Courses Offered at Assam University

The fee structure of Assam University consists of a few components. The components are; tuition fees, development fees, utility fees, examination fees and miscellaneous fees. The total value of all the features above makes up the fees to be paid in two instalments of an academic year. The two instalments are enrolled and existing instalments, which have the same numerical value. The Fee value shall differ as per the subject, and the degree level applied. However, for residential facilities, the students. All the fees must be deposited to either the UCO bank or the SBI bank branch of the University via RTGS/Net-Banking or NEFT.

Admissions to Assam University 2022

Online applications are accepted for Assam University. The candidates must register on the official website of the login after reviewing the pertinent downloadables linked to above in order to get periodic updates from the university. The candidate may decide to review the University's official website's "Programs and Course" link and related areas. By nearly the end of April, when the students start enrolling themselves on the cell, the announcement for the current candidates naturally starts. For increased participation, the placement drive is held off-campus and at several institution affiliate locations. Every academic year, successful job placement is finished by November.

Cutoff for Assam University

On the dates noted above, Assam University always posts the cut-off scores and the merit list for the various courses on its official website. The weights given by the candidates in their 10+2 exams and each candidate's CUET performance are used to determine the overall merit list. The applicant's success in the CUET is given 70% more weight than their scores on their last academic assessment, which receives an overall weightage of 30%. The 30% weightage is evenly distributed between the results from the previous exam's mark sheets and the results from the All India examinations, such as JEE mains, GATE, NET, and all those that are mentioned in the previous sections, for the subjects that require scores from other India-based examinations. The applicant can print out their percentiles and scorecards by logging onto the CUET official website.
