The state government of Himachal Pradesh's Act no. 23 of 2009 established the university's formation and regulations. The institute is sponsored and promoted by K. D. Education Trust, New Delhi. The UGC has authorised and the Himachal Pradesh State Government has recognised Arni University. It provides a range of UG, PG, and PhD courses. The university is in a lovely and pleasant area. In the foothills of the Dhauladhar mountain range, near to the Beas river, is where you'll find the university campus.
